Chief Minister V Narayanasamy led the Union Territory of Puducherry in paying tributes to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi on the occasion of his 73rd birth anniversary today.
Ministers, legislators and delegates of different wings of the ruling Congress paid tributes at a statue of Gandhi.
PWD Minister and Pradesh Congress Committee leader A Namassivayam was among those who paid floral tributes at the portrait of Gandhi at a function at the PCC office.
Namassivayam recalled the contributions of the late leader for the development of Puducherry particularly in the government take over of the AFT mill in 1986.
