Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shazia Ilmi on Tuesday took a dig at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by suggesting that he should try his luck in acting because he is brilliant with his emotions and drama.
“Arvind Kejriwal has tried many careers. He has been an IRS officer. He has worked in TCS. He was an activist. Now, he is a politician. I think the ultimate career for him is acting. He really should act because he is such a brilliant. All the time using emotions, drama and all that, saying sorry and appealing to people, looking like a victim constantly, I mean that is really him,” Ilmi told ANI.
Ilmi also said that Kejriwal should stop his ‘nautanki’ and apologize to people who have voted for him on the basis of false promises that he made to them.
“I think instead of making this emotional and dramatic appeal that he is making which anybody can see through his political shenanigans,” she added.
On Monday, the Delhi CM had again pressed for his demand of full statehood for the national capital and had met Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi to discuss increasing crimes against women.
A 19-year-old girl was knifed to death on Thursday night in a crowded New Delhi market (in Anand Parbat) because she had complained against her stalker following which the ruling Delhi Aam Aadmi Party had pulled up top cops in the city. Kejriwal had said that since the Delhi police came directly under the control of PM, Modi should spare a few hours every week to assess the law and order situation in the city.
