Former India opener Virender Sehwag has lately earned plenty of plaudits for his wit and great sense of comic timing.
The Nawab of Najafgarh was in news recently for taking British journalist Piers Morgan head on after the latter posted insulting tweets questioning India’s sporting prowess.
Sehwag’s witty response had Morgan scurrying for shelter prompting the CNN anchor to confess that he didn’t quite know how to reply to the former cricketer’s tweets.
However, it seems, Sehwag has finally got his match on Twitter and she is none other than his wife Aarti.
Sehwag recently tweeted congratulating ace Indian spinner R Ashwin for claiming 7th successive Man Of The Match awards. But, while doing so, he attributed the star’s married life for his great form on the cricket field.
Sehwag’s tweet said, “Congrats @ashwinravi99 for an incredible 7th Man of the series.
Only a married man can understand d urgency of going home early.#FamilyTime.”

Ashwin appreciated the humour in Sehwag’s tweet and replied, “lol..viru pa.”
But, by this time their respective wives had decided to jump in the fray.
Ashwin’s wife Prithi said, ” hahaha I didn’t do much 🙂 ”

Sehwag’s wife Aarti, who is relatively new to microblogging site, was next with her tweet, which said, “Neither did I. Both in a hurry as always.”

All Sehwag could do in response to his wife’s tweet was just share it on his timeline. A wise man indeed!
