A bullet-riddled body of a youth was found in Pulwama district of south Kashmir on Sunday, local police was quoted by PTI.
Bilal Ahmad Malik (23) was found shot dead between the villages of Wahbug and Chewa Kalan by his relatives this morning, a police official said.
He said police has taken cognisance and started investigations to ascertain who shot dead the youth.
According to local media reports, Malik’s family claimed that the Malik was picked up by the Kashmir police’s anti-insurgency Special Operation Group ‘who killed him in cold blood and threw his body’.
As the news of youth’s killing spread, hundreds poured on to streets in the southern district and held demonstrations.
