Haryana police held over 100 youngsters for disturbing public peace

Over 100 people, including 21 women, have been arrested in Gurgaon for disturbing the public peace, police said on Sunday, adding that most of them were in an inebriated condition.

A special squad of Haryana Police arrested the people from Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.

Dharna Yadav, who heads the anti-eve-teasing squad said, “The arrested are between 20 and 30 years of age.”

Gurgaon police chief Navdeep Singh Virk said similar exercise would be carried on Sunday too.
