The three men were travelling in a car which was intercepted and searched last night following a tip-off that cash was being taken for converting black money into white, police inspector Jivba Dalvi told PTi.

During the search, the three men were found with a bag carrying Rs 24 lakh in Rs 2,000 denomination, he said.

The men were part of a gang allegedly involved in converting black money into white by charging 40 per cent commission, he said.

“We are interrogating them so that we can find the origin of the cash,” Dalvi added.
