Delhi’s politics took a new turn on Saturday after two ministers from Arvind Kejriwal government went to visit the Lieutenant Governor, Najeeb Jung, but the latter was not available.

Kapil Mishra and Satyendra Jain had gone to meet Jung to discuss his order on Friday asking Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia to cut short his trip to Finland and return to the national capital immediately.

Mishra alleged that Jung had blocked his number, thereby restricting his ability to reach him.

He tweeted, “One thing I realised that LG saab has blocked my number. I mean, seriously .. why sir?”

His next tweets read, “Late last night, the LG had sent a fax. We thought it must be very urgent. Satyendra ji and I, therefore, rushed to his office. But he’s on leave. We told his officials that we were happy to visit him at his residence. Whenever and wherever he wishes. But the officials rejected our suggestions.

“I’ve appealed to the LG that he should return to office. We’ve cancelled the leaves for all hospitals and mohalla clinics. This is not the time for holidaying.”

Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor on Friday had issued a verbal order to the city’s deputy chief minister to cut short his trip to Finland and return to the national capital immediately, reported Times Now.

This, according to the LG’s office, was in view of the impending health crisis in Delhi.

More than 20 people have died due to the outbreak of Chikungunya so far.

However, the AAP sources said that Sisodia had not received any communique from the LG’s office.

An AAP source told www.jantakareporter.com, “the protocol is to convey such communication via the ambassadors or high commissioners of the countries the leaders are visiting. In Manish’s case, the Indian envoy in Finland has not received such comminique.”
