The Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government has issued suspension orders for Sub-Registrar Raj Kumar in relation to corruption charges against him.
An enquiry conducted by the Delhi government had found Raj Kumar guilty of registering a sale deed of a property in violation of the provisions of Registration Act, 1908.
Taking a serious view into the matter, the AAP government has placed Kumar under suspension. A major penalty proceeding against the Sub-Registrar has also been initiated.
The press release issued by Delhi government said, “Following a complaint regarding corruption in the registration of a sale deed, an enquiry was conducted by the Delhi Government, in which it was noticed that the Sub-Registrar (Asaf Ali Road) Sh. Raj Kumar registered a sale deed of a property in violation of the provisions of Registration Act, 1908. The Delhi Government has taken a serious view in this matter, and the Sub-Registrar has been placed under suspension. Besides, major penalty proceeding under CCS (CCA) Rules, 1965 is also being initiated.”
The Delhi government had recently also ordered investigations against three state officials accused of making fake voter-id cards in the city.
About 1250 fake voter-id cards with IPC numbers intact had been found in Dwarka Sector-13 earlier this year. The cards had been made for people in the Janakuri and Vikaspuri constituencies of Delhi.
