Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas has filed a criminal case against Zee News owner Shubhas Chandra as well as Editor Sudhir Chaudhary and anchor Rohit Sardana for alleged “fake news and defamatory content against Kumar Vishwas and his party.”

In his complaint, Vishwas stated the alleged “fake video” where he was purpotedly shown as saying “latak gaya kya” after the suicide of farmer Gajendra during an AAP rally in capital’s Jantar Mantar. The complaint reiterates what the party had initially stated that the video was fabricated to malign the image of the AAP. Vishwas also claims in the complaint that the video was shown time and again despite the fact that it was fabricated and bore no factual information whatsoever.

The complainant has also claimed that the Zee owner and the editors named were working on the behest of the BJP and serving as their mouthpiece.

Speaking to Janta Ka Reporter, Vishwas said, “Subhash Chandra (Zee owner is a BJP man), and we all know how he sought a ticket frm bjp in the last Lok Sabha elections. So therefore it’s not suprising why Sudhir Chaudhry as an editor & Rohit Sardana (the channel’s anchor) have been running a dirty campaign against me.” ,

“This time I’m determined to teach them a lesson, I’ve filed a criminal case against all three of them and would seek a hefty compensation”, Vishwas added.

In his complaint, Kumar Vishwas also stated how Sonu Nigam’s contract was cancelled with Zee after he had questioned the channel’s video (on Gajendra’s death) on Vishwas.
