IAS topper Tina Dabi Khan on Thursday was called a ‘love bird’ by her fans on Instagram after she addressed her husband, also an IAS topper, Athar Aamir Khan as ‘handsome’ on social media.
This was after Athar shared a short video selfie of himself on Instagram with a caption that read, “Hey there.” Athar’s post elicited plenty of comments but notable among them was from his wife Tina, who wrote, “Hi there, handsome.”
Many of the couple’s fans found Tina’s comment quite cute with one of them writing, “love birds.” Another wrote, “Ur handsome (atharaamirkhan) is always there for you.” One user in particular asked Athar for best wishes ahead of his crucial exams scheduled for 2 June. Athar replied, “Best of luck. But you should sign out from insta and study!!!”
Tina had secured the all India 1st ranking in the prestigious civil services exams in 2016. Athar was not to far behind with a national number two ranking. Both fell in love and got married in 2018. Luck favoured them again as both secured their first full-fledged posting as IAS officers in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara last year. Both are now serving as SDM and its equivalent rank officers.
Tina had added Khan to her surname after her marriage to Athar. Her bio on Instagram describes her as a Kashmiri bahu (daughter-in-law). Athar hails from Jammu and Kashmir, while Tina is a Delhiite.
This is not the first time Tina has publicly expressed her love for Athar. She had taken to Instagram on Eid last year to express just how much she loved her husband. Sharing a series of photos with Athar, the IAS topper had written, “It’s the little things that you do, that make me love you the most.”
In April this year, while commenting on her husband’s photo, Tina had teased him by saying, “My lovely weirdo.”
