Keeping in mind the security measures, the DMRC will close all its parking lots on the eve of Independence Day.
According to a DMRC statement, parking facilities will not be available at the Delhi metro stations from 6 a.m. on Friday i.e, 14 August till 2 p.m. on Saturday i.e, 15th August in view of the security measures adopted for Independence Day celebrations.
The statement issued by Anuj Dayal, the executive director of DMRC further added, “We will also depute our officials to inspect the parking sites for strict compliance.”
However, this year, taking use of this opportunity, the DMRC has instructed the concerned parking contractors to induct people for cleaning all the parking lots thoroughly in the spirit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
