CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2021: In a huge announcement on Tuesday, Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that there will be no CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exams 2021 in January and February due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country. More details can be found at the official website of the board at Nishank made the announcement during a webinar with teachers on Tuesday.

Nishank said that the coronavirus pandemic had not improved for the government to hold the board exams in January, adding that a final decision on the exams would be taken after taking stock of the situation.

“I think that the government headed by Narendra Modi is regularly consulting with people… An overwhelming majority of people have advised in favour of holding the board exams. earlier exams used to take place from 15 February till March. We have decided to not hold exams in January and February. We will take a call on holding the exams on later dates and inform you about the dates.”

The apex board of education in India, CBSE has a pan India jurisdiction and also a global presence with nearly 141 affiliated schools across 21 countries. The board grants affiliation to schools up to higher secondary level and develops common curriculum keeping nationwide requirements in focus. To make necessary arrangements for smooth conduct of public examination at school level. At present, the Board conducts public examinations at Middle, Matriculation and Senior Secondary Level.

To prescribe the curriculum, courses of studies and text books for school education. The Board has a full- fledged academic wing, having subject experts in all the major subjects. The main responsibility of this wing is to prepare and revise the syllabuses regularly and then prepare text books accordingly.

To arrange for the preparations, compilation, improvement, publication, printing and sale of text books.

To make necessary arrangements for affiliations of schools to the Board.
To make efforts to bring about qualitative improvement in school education.
To act as an advisory body to the state Govt. regarding School Education
