US President Donald Trump never misses an opportunity to embarrass himself. On Sunday, he heaped more embarrassment on himself when he tweeted claiming that 138 million had been killed in the terror attacks in Sri Lanka. Faced with considerable trolling, Trump deleted the tweet.

He had written, “Heartfelt condolences from the people of the United States to the people of Sri Lanka on the horrible terrorist attack on churches and hotels that have killed at least 138 million people and badly injured 600 more. We stand ready to help!”

His corrected tweet read, “138 people have been killed in Sri Lanka, with more that 600 badly injured, in a terrorist attack on churches and hotels. The United States offers heartfelt condolences to the great people of Sri Lanka. We stand ready to help!”

More than 200 people, mostly Christian devotees taking part in the Easter Sunday mass in different churches were killed when a series of explosions hit them. The terrorists also targeted the Sri Lankan capital’s five-star hotels. No one has claimed responsibility for today’s terror attacks.
