England redefining how ‘TEST cricket is played,’ said a top Team India batsman after England completed a whitewash against World Test champions, New Zealand. This was after England defeated New Zealand in the Headingley Test by seven wickets, winning the three-Test series 3-0.

Indian player Dinesh Karthik said that the way England achieved the target of 296 runs in just 55 overs was remarkable. “England redefining how TEST cricket is played. Attractive and enjoyable. Great to watch. #BazBall”

England will face Team India in the one-off Test match in Birmingham starting this Friday. Karthik said, “It’s going to be a superb test match between India and England.”

England needed to score 113 runs to win the Test match when they resumed their batting on Monday. However, they achieved the target in just 15.2 overs, scoring more than 7 runs an over.

Karthik himself earned plaudits for his hard-hitting batting in this year’s IPL.

Jack Leach was declared Player Of The Match for his 10-wicket haul. He claimed five wickets in each inning of the match.

Former England skipper Joe Root was declared Player Of The Series for scoring close to 400 runs at an average of 99 including two centuries. On Monday, he remained unbeaten at 86 from 125 balls.
