Indian security forces on Wednesday said they had caught Bahadur Ali, a militant from Pakistan.
Ali was arrested from the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to IANS, the militant, caught on Tuesday during a gunfight in Kupwara district, had told police that he belongs to Lahore and his name was Bahadur Ali.

“Some crucial disclosures made by the militant have not been made public because of their operational importance,” a police source told IANS.
The new information on Ali being a Pakistani sent social media users into frenzy. Bahur Ali became a top Twitter trend and remained so for several hours.
An overwhelming number of users began to target the NDTV journalist Barkha Dutt, sarcastically suggesting how she must be tweeting the arrest of the Pakistani militant by the Indian army.
The users, mostly with right-wing leaning, felt that, like Burhan Wani, a favourable narrative on Bahadur Ali too must be built.
Barkha’s recent reporting on Kashmir unrest has left many right-wing sympathisers upset.
The popular host of NDTV’s prime time show, The Buck Stops Here, had published a scathing reply to Times Now’s editor-in-chief, Arnab Goswami, on Wednesday stating that she was ‘ashamed’ to be a part of the same industry that the latter belonged to.
Her all-out attack became the most talked about topic on social media all throughout Wednesday.
