The AAP led Delhi government has rubbished the media report which said that the state government was ready to invest money in snooping devices.

The Delhi government came out with a statement where it said,

“There is no proposal by the Delhi government to procure anything called as a snooping equipment and no such cabinet note has been circulated. The channel concerned running this wrong story made no attempt to contact the Delhi government for its version before airing it. The channel seems to have minted its own terminology to falsely show the Delhi government in poor light and defame the ACB.”

On Friday, a leading television channel flashed a news report which said that the Arvind Kejriwal led AAP government in Delhi was all set to use taxpayers’ money to buy snooping devices.
In a matter of few minutes, social media was abuzz with this sensational news report and led to the hashtag #ArvindSnoopgate becoming one of the top trends.
