According to latest reports, Sepp Blatter has been re-elected as the FIFA president after his opponent Prince Ali withdrew from the second round.
According to the rules, Blatter had to secure 138 out of the 206 votes but was five short of the magical number and managed to secure 133. His opponent Prince Ali got 73 votes.
After winning the election, Blatter said,
“I will be in command of this boat called Fifa and I will bring it back offshore.”
The vote has been overshadowed by corruption allegations after seven top officials were arrested in Zurich, Switzerland.
