Actor Kangana Ranaut bared it all over the weekend when she appeared on India TV to talk about her feud with alleged ex-boyfriend, Hrithik Roshan. She accused Hrithik and her father, Rakesh Roshan, of having maligned her image and committed alleged slander.
Couple of days later, Hrithik’s ex-wife, Suzanne Khan, added a new twist to the ongoing controversy by an Instagram post, where she was seen taking her ex-husband’s side.
Now singer Sona Mohapatra has joined the debate by alleging that the actor she admired was indulging in PR stunt ahead of her new release, Simran.
In a Facebook post, Sona said that her publicity-seeking statements were “in bad taste.”
She wrote, “Dear Kangana, I have always cheered loudly, in private & in public for you. Long, long before you turned queen et all but your current run across the airwaves regurgitating personal details of your love life over & over again, washing dirty linen in public & more so as part of a professional PR campaign before your film release is in bad taste. (sic)”
Sona said that Kangana’s latest ‘publicity-seeking’ exercise did ‘a big dis-service to the cause of feminism & fair play’ calling it a ‘circus.’
“Your well thought out & superbly worded open letters of the past, fearless interviews addressing larger issues, taking a stand, taking legal recourse are welcome. The current ‘circus’, not. This is just another opinion in the public domain from one working woman to another, from the heart & on an impulse. There is no PR machinery or team guiding me here.” she added.
Kangana and Hrithik have been in news for wrong reasons after the former sensationally referred to the Krrish actor ‘silly ex’ earlier last year prompting him to issue a legal notice to the Queen star.
