Chandigarh Police on Monday launched investigation into the mysterious death of a lawyer whose body was found in a park in Punjab late Sunday.
Police officials said, the body of Sukhmanpreet Singh, about 36 years old and a resident of neighbouring Mohali town in Punjab, was found in a Sector 27 park.
An official said,”The body had two bullet marks, one each on chest and neck. We are working on various leads.”
The wounded lawyer was spotted by some passersby who informed the police. He was rushed to a government hospital where he was declared dead.
The lawyer’s car was found parked about 200 metres away. Chandigarh SSP Sukhchain Singh Gill said that it was a case of murder and we are still investigating.
Sindhu was the founder and Secretary General of Paralymic Committee of Punjab and Joint Secretary Of Paralymic Committee of India.
