Security forces particularly the CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police received widespread condemnation for their lethal use of pellets against protesting youth and children when the valley transcended into utter chaos after the killing of Burhan Wani.
Wani, a Hizbul poster boy was gunned down by Indian security forces in Kashmir last month. Wani’s death led to widespread violence in the valley resulting in the deaths of more than 60 people.
Now a shocking video of men in uniform, believed to be from CRPF and J&K Police, has gone viral on social media platforms. In the video, soldiers are seen pelting stones at the windows of a neighbourhood unprovoked.
A local resident, who shot the video too came under attack by stone pelting CRPF men. This is, however, not clear whether this video has been shot during the recent unrest witnessed in Kashmir.
The emergence of this video has evoked angry reactions from social media.

Maya Shenoi : Indian government has made a complete mess in Kashmir and have used both Kashmiris and Indian Army as pawns in their hands, wrecking havoc on both sides. IMHO Its high time Kashmiris are allowed their right to decide. India gave that right to people of Junagarh then why not Kashmir?? Even if it is 70 year late and Kashmir is already divided; I am sure referendum can be conducted in both parts. How so ever flawed it might be, at least it will give Kashmiris their right. They could choose either India or Pakistan. They won’t survive alone so can’t be given option to become a country of its own. Even if they go to Pak, I think India will save tons in reduction in military escalation and peace in the region. Kashmiris would lose if they choose Pak, but let us give them a choice. What are we, Indians, afraid of???!! This is my personal opinion.
