Earthquake near Thimpu, tremors felt in Assam: US Geological Survey

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, an earthquake with magnitude 5.6 occurred near THIMPHU, Bhutan at 01:05:26.50 UTC on Jun 28, 2015.

The event has been reviewed and confirmed by a seismologist.

Reports also suggest that the quake was 23 kilometers north of Basugaon, India and tremors were felt in Kokrajhar and other parts of Assam.

No casualties have been reported yet.
