Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted BJP veteran L K Advani on his 88th birthday, hailing him as India’s tallest leader and an inspiration for him.

Advani was born in Karachi on 8 November, 1927. He served as Minister of Home Affairs from 1998 to 2004.
He also served as Deputy Prime Minister from 2002 to 2004 under Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
