The CCTV video is said to be of one Maramreddy Sreekanth Reddy, who is accused of killing his techie wife Bhuvaneswari. Reddy worked as an anti-corruption activist but was reportedly unemployed for some time. 27-year-old Bhuvaneswari worked as a techie for Cognizant in Hyderabad. She was lately working from home due to the pandemic. The couple had a two-year-old daughter.

In the CCTV video, Reddy can be seen arriving at his house with his daughter and a large suitcase. He’s then seen emerging out of his apartment with a heavy suitcase, reportedly his wife’s body in it. He’s seen trying to drag the suitcase while also trying to hold his daughter.

According to reports, Bhuvaneswari went missing about a week ago. Reddy, who’s now being questioned by the Tirupati Police, had reportedly said that his wife died of COVID-19. But Bhuvaneswari’s relatives could not trace her body even after visiting several hospitals.

It’s suspected that Reddy killed his wife and bought a large red suitcase from Reliance Mart. According to the police, Reddy tried to burn the body. According to a report by NDTV, every part of her body was burnt except some bones and skull.

The alleged murder of a techie by her husband has sent shockwaves across Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh Police have decided to send the samples for forensic examination.
