Assembly elections 2022: Uttar Pradesh’s 55 seats go to polls; all eyes on Punjab’s 117 seats amidst allegations by Kumar Vishwas against Arvind Kejriwal

Punjab has suddenly become a topic of national discourse after Vishwas, a former colleague of Kejriwal, accused the AAP supremo of having a tacit understanding with the separatist groups of Punjab. Kejriwal and his colleagues have denied allegations but Vishwas has defended his allegations by challenging the Delhi chief minister to openly condemn Punjab’s Khalistani supporters.

The central government on Saturday accorded ‘Y’ category security cover to Vishwas after reviewing his safety concerns over the controversy.
