Fans have reacted positively to the BBCI’s decision to name Rohit Sharma as the captain of Team India in the longer format of the game, making him the successor of Virat Kohli, who quit the role following 1-2 Test defeat in South Africa.
Announcing Sharma’s name as the new captain of Team India in Test, chairman of selectors Chetan Sharma said that ‘Rohit was the unanimous choice’ adding that the board will aim to groom three potential captaincy materials in KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant.
Here’s how fans reacted to Sharma’s announcement as Kohli’s successor in Test.
