Hollywood actor Johnny Depp’s defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard has grabbed global eyeballs with fans wanting to know every minute detail surrounding the courtroom drama. After weeks of hearing and cross-examinations of witnesses, Johnny Depp’s glamourous lawyer Camille Vasquez on Friday made forceful closing arguments. Camille, who has been dominating social media conversations ever since the hearing began, has overshadowed the popularity of her high-profile client and Friday was no different.
In her closing arguments, Camille said that Heard had come to court with ‘extravagant, over-the-top allegations of abuse’ in order to claim that she, not Depp, had been defamed.

She said, “Make no mistake, though, they are a hoax.” Addressing the jury, she continued, “Ms. Heard made up claims of abuse and then she gave a dramatic performance where she passionately repeated those made-up claims on the stand in front of each of you.’
Who is Camille Vasquez?
Camille was born to Cuban and Colombian parents in California on 24 July 1984. The 37-year-old attorney obtained a graduate degree from the University of Southern California in 2006 before acquiring a degree from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles four years later.

The young dynamic lawyer has been working at as an associate at Brown Rudnick since 2018. Brown Rudnick is one of the most sought-after law firms in the area. Depp hired the services of this firm for his $50m defamation case against his ex-wife. Named one of Best Lawyer magazine’s ‘One to Watch’ lawyers last year, Camille was appointed as one of nine attorneys from the firm involved in the trial.
