Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda is facing widespread condemnation for cracking a ‘very dirty joke’ on former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati.

very dirty joke

This was after a Twitter user shared a video of Randeep Hooda cracking a joke, which he said was ‘very dirty’ about Mayawati in a room packed with an audience. Randeep said, “I think I will tell a very dirty joke. It’s a sex position for God’s sake. We are taking too seriously.”

The former co-star of Alia Bhatt continued, “There was Miss Mayawati. She was walking along the street with two kids, two boys. There was a man, like our man here (pointing to an audience member). He asked, “Are they twins?” (Mayawati) said, “No, no. He’s four, he’s eight.” He (man) said, “I can’t believe someone has been there twice”.”

Randeep’s ‘very dirty joke’ about Mayawati left the audience in splits. But activists did not find his joke funny. Kavita Krishnan wrote, “Not a “joke”
@RandeepHooda. You notice no one makes “jokes” saying a male politician is too ugly to f***? You are doing what casteist, misogynist, insecure turds do when confronted with women whose strength they fear: attack the woman as unattractive.”

Journalist Dilip Mondal wrote, “This is no exception or aberration. This is bloody Mainstream. This is from @IndiaToday conclave. Shit of a man @RandeepHooda
is cracking “dirty jokes” on one of the tallest leaders of Indian democracy. @aroonpurie you provided platform to this pig! Shame.”

Similar reactions followed from other Twitter users.

At least two actors namely Munmun Dutta and Yuvika Chaudhary have had to issue public apologies to avoid criminal action after they made casteist remarks targeting India’s Dalit community.

Randeep has not yet responded to the outrage on social media.

On the work front. Randeep was last seen in Salman Khan-starrer Radhe, which also featured Disha Patani.
