“Please come back and raise your voice”: Sushant Singh Rajput fans urge Arnab Goswami to return to Republic TV on late actor’s first death anniversary

Fans of Sushant Singh Rajput have taken to social media to urge Arnab Goswami to return to the TV so that the Republic TV founder could raise the voice for the late Bollywood actor. Arnab has been away from TV for more than a month triggering speculations over his prolonged absence.

Sushant Singh Rajput

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on 14 June last year. While it was widely reported that the actor died by suicide, his fans suspected foul play in his death. Arnab Goswami had held countless debates demanding a thorough investigation into Sushant’s death. However, the controversial anchor had faced incessant criticism for his excessive coverage on Sushant’s death to help the BJP extract the electoral mileage in the last year’s assembly polls. Sushant was a native of Patna in Bihar.

As expected, Republic TV’s over-the-top coverage on Sushant Singh Rajput indeed came to an end after the assembly polls. But the late actor’s fans continue to remain hopeful that Arnab would help them get ‘justice.’

On Monday, ‘Sushant Justice Matters’ became a dominating topic of Twitter conversations as #SushantSinghRajput trended. Fans urged Arnab to return to TV today to hold a prime-time debate on Sushant.

There have been intense speculations over Arnab’s mysterious absence from TV for more than a month. While filmmaker Ashoke Pandit and Madhu Kishwar have said that the Republic TV founder was fine, this hasn’t stopped Twitterati from speculating over the anchor’s whereabouts.
