Photos of women in bikini shared on social media are not of Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic

The Croatian football team’s dream run in the ongoing World Cup has won them many fans around the world. But after they stunned England 2-1 in the semi-final, the attention was less on the team and more on their country’s president, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic.

The videos of Grabar-Kitarovic entering the dressing room of the players and hugging the bare-bodied footballers in their knickers went viral. The president couldn’t care less since the excitement of her country’s team reaching the final of the World Cup for the first time was simply too overwhelming.

In one video, her impromptu dance inside the VIP gallery in front of the Russian prime minister, Dmitry Medvedev, left everyone embarrassed.

Soon, social media platforms began to get flooded with photos of a model, who the users claimed were the Croatian president posing in bikini.

Users claimed that the woman model posing in a bikini was the Croatian president as they began to link her beauty to the boosted morale of her team on the football ground.

But, contrary to the users’ excitement on Grabar-Kitarovic’s fit body, the truth is that photos shared by social media users are not that of the Croatian president. The photos in question are of Coco Austin, who is the wife of rapper and actor Ice-T (real name Tracy Lauren Marrow).

Many journalists and users were quick to call out the ‘lie’ but they were clearly outnumbered by those faking the news.

The fake photo in question of Austin was taken in 2009. This is not the first time the Croatian president has fallen victim to fake news related to her body. The woman in blue swimsuit too is reportedly not of the Croatian president. Reports by London’s Daily Mail and men’s magazine FHM have proven beyond that the woman is an unnamed porn star.

Shortly after her election, Serbian tabloid The Informer had published pictures that claimed were of the Grabar-Kitarovic in a porn movie.

Its front page featured a buxom blonde wearing a see-through black negligee and romping with her co-star on a bed

Meanwhile, Grabar-Kitarovic has confirmed that she will be be present in the stadium when her country’s team take on France in the final. “Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic will attend the final match of the FIFA World Cup, where Croatia will be playing against France. She will be watching the game from the VIP section. We do not yet know how and when President Grabar-Kitarovic will fly to Russia,” an official statement from Croatia said.
