Former India cricketer Suresh Raina is facing widespread criticism after the Mumbai Police arrested him along with singer Guru Randhawa after a raid at the Mumbai Dragonfly club in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Accused of violating COVID-19 norms, both of them were later released.
The Mumbai Police also arrested Sussanne Khan, ex-wife of Hrithik Roshan, from a club in Andheri for violating COVID-19 guidelines. According to a tweet by the Mumbai Police, a total of 34 people including 19 celebrities were arrested.

No sooner did the news of Raina’s arrest surface, Twitterati began to condemn the former India cricketer for being a bad role model for youngsters.
#SureshRaina This law breaker @ImRaina wants to train kids at Kashmir, we should ensure he is not allowed to spoil the kids of Kashmir.

Raina was recently in the news after he sensationally returned from the UAE due to personal reasons. Chennai Super Kings owner N Srinivasan was quoted as saying that success had gone into Raina’s head. “My thinking is that if you are reluctant or not happy, go back. I don’t force anyone to do anything … sometimes success gets into your head,” Srinivasan was quoted by the Outlook website.
