Novak Djokovic on Sunday won his 7th Wimbledon title and 21st career Grand Slam after he defeated Australia’s Nick Kyrgios 4-6 6-3 6-4 6-6 (6-3).

Kyrgios, who had reached the final after Rafael Nadal withdrew before the semi-final match due to injury, was no match to Djokovic. Many believe that Kyrgios may not even be playing the final if Nadal had not pulled out of the competition.

Kyrgios said that he wasn’t looking forward to playing tennis in the near future and needed to go on vacation. Terming Djokovic ‘God’, the Australian said that this was the best result of his career.

Djokovic said that he hoped to see Kyrgios back not just in Wimbledon and other competitions.
