India on Sunday defeated Ireland by seven wickets in the first T20 International, played in Dublin.
Batting first, Ireland made 108-4 in 12 overs. Harry Tector (64* off 33) was the top performer for the hosts.
India achieved the target by losing just three wickets in 9.2 overs.
Deepak Hooda was the top scorer for Team India with an unbeaten knock of 47 from 29 balls. Ishan Kishan made 26 from just 11 balls.
The match was reduced to a 12-over affair due to continuous interruption by rains.
Today’s match saw fast bowling sensation Umran Malik making his international debut but proved expensive as he conceded 14 runs in his first and only over.
