One held for keeping meat on chariot during Ratha Yatra


A man was arrested for allegedly placing a carry bag containing meat on a chariot
during the Ratha Yatra festival last month near Remuna in the Balasore district, police said on Thursday.

“The accused is from Somnathpur village near Balasore and a number of criminal cases are pending against him including rape,” Superintendent of Police Niti Sekhar said.
