44 dead in Saudi-led airstrike in Yemen

Reports suggest that Saudi-led airstrikes have killed at least 44 people in the main headquarters of the Yemeni Army situated in Sanaa.

According to Dawn News, the civilians were also wounded in the attack that destroyed many houses in Tahrir district in Sanaa.

According to initial reports, local residents said that four explosions shook the compound.

The escalation of the violence came despite progress towards convening United Nations-backed peace talks.
