Royal Challengers Bangalore on Wednesday defeated Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets in an IPL match, played at Dubai International Stadium.
Batting first, Rajasthan Royals could only put up 149 runs in 20 overs by losing nine wickets. Evin Lewis was the top scorer for his side as he played a fine knock of 51 runs that he needed just 37 balls to score. His knock included five fours and three sixes. Aside from Lewis, no other Rajasthan Royals batsmen including skipper Sanju Samson were able to contribute with runs.
Harshal Patel picked up three wickets for the RCB, while Yuzvendra Chahal and Shahbaz Ahmed shared two wickets each.
Virat Kohli’s side achieved the target without much trouble even though the skipper himself could score just 25 runs after being run out early in the innings. KS Bharat played a knock of 35-ball 44 runs. Glen Maxwell remained unbeaten at 50 by facing just 30 balls. The RCB won the match with 17 balls to spare.
