The Indian women’s cricket team on Sunday defeated England by 8 runs in the second T20 International match.

Batting first, India made 148-4 as Shafali Verma emerging as the top scorer with 48 runs.

England’s run chase started on a decent note as they began to score more than nine runs an over. However, the hosts experienced a spectacular batting collapse after Tammy Beaumont and Heather Knight departed scoring 59 and 30 runs respectively.

England were cruising at 106-4 in 13.5 overs and needed just 43 more runs in six overs when Knight, unfortunately, ran herself out.

England had won the first T20 by 18 runs using the DLS method. The highlight of the match was Harleen Kaur’s stunning catch.
