ICC will not send umpires to Pakistan

The International Cricket Council has decided not to send umpires to Pakistan for their upcoming series after the recent Karachi attacks, which killed more than 40 people.

Instead, the world cricketing body has asked the Pakistan Cricket Board to hire the services of local officials to officiate in their cpcoming One Day International and Twenty20 series.
Pakistan will play host to Zimbabwe for three ODI and two T20 matches from May 22.
On Thursday, Zimbabwe said it was cancelling the series after the news of Karachi attack broke, but soon withdrew the statement.
No big international teams have toured Pakistan since the gunmen attacked the visiting Sri Lankan team in 2009.
