Burhan Wani (21) is a young commander of Hizbul Mujahideen who carries bounty of Rs 10 lakh on his head.
This is the first time when youths waved young commander’s posters containing his photos.
For last one year, youths in old city of Srinagar and in other parts of Kashmir had been waving flags of ISIS and Lashkar-a-Toiba.
On 26 August, Burhan, first time, released his video speech asking youth of Kashmir to join militant ranks and warned those boys and girls who worked as security forces as informers in Kashmir. Following the release of video, police filed an FIR in this connection.
Some two months ago Burhan released his first video along with his group of 11 young militants.
If reports are believed seven young boys have joined militant ranks in past two days in north and south Kashmir following the release of Burhan’s video on August 26.
Security agencies in Kashmir, in the past, have expressed serious concern over growing trend of young boys joining militant ranks and use of social networking sites by militant commander, Burhan.
Burhan frequently uses social media to express and exhibit his thoughts and strengths.
