Adityanath tweeted in Hindi, “On getting the initial symptoms, I got Kovid checked and my report came back positive. I am in self-isolation and fully following the consultation of physicians. I am editing all tasks virtually.”

Adityanath said that all ‘activities of the state government are being conducted normally.’ “Meanwhile, all those who have come in contact with me must do their investigation and take precaution,” he added.

Earlier, Adityanath had astonishingly said that ‘faith’ was for humanity and not the other way around. He had tweeted in Hindi, “‘Faith’ should be respected but faith is for humans, humans are not for faith. In this phase of the epidemic, let us put our faith aside and be a part of the country’s biggest campaign against Corona to save ‘humanity’.”

Adityanath’s tweet was seen in light of lakhs of Hindus congregating in Haridwar to attend Kumbh mela, thereby acting as super-spreaders of the virus.
