WATCH: Let’s not fight among ourselves, fight dengue instead: Kejriwal

1

Friday began with the revelation that the Delhi lieutenant governor, Najeeb Jung’s office had written a hard-hitting letter to Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government’s bureaucrats asking them to defy what it called ‘illegal orders’ of the elected government.

The letter was particularly in relation to the commission of inquiry Kejriwal had formed to investigate the CNG fitness scam, which is expected to prove the involvement of the former chief minister, Sheila Dikshit and the LG. The letter also took objected to the revision in pay of the DANICS officers.

It warned the civil servants of dire consequences if they did not adhere to the new guidelines from the LG office.

Reacting to this development, Kejriwal called it ill-timed letter and urged the central government to keep political difference aside and cooperate with the Delhi government in tackling the menace of dengue, which has affected more than 2000 patients and killed nearly 20 people.

Kejriwal, visited many hospitals and took on the spot decisions to beef up arrangements to deal with this growing menace.

Do leave your comments if you indeed agree with the Delhi CM that the LG’s letter was ill-timed and insensitive to people of Delhi. Or you think Jung was only doing his job. We will publish your comments on this page.
