Tomar’s bail application deferred

Former Delhi Law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar’s bail application was deferred by a city court today. Tomar was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly faking his degrees and was sent to a four-day police custody.

The court clearly stated that it was not in a position to take a decision on the plea since it was not in possession of the relevant documents. The investigating officer and the accused are both out of Delhi.

The matter will now be heard on June 16, a day when Tomar’s four-day police custody ends.

The court further refused to grant interim bail and said, “Interim bail now will further complicate entire issue. The same is not appropriate”.
