Terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir have killed a policeman while injuring his seven-year-old daughter. The incident took place in Soura (Anchar) area. The cop has been identified as Saifullah Qadri.
“The injured police personnel succumbed to his injuries. We pay our rich tributes to the martyr and standby the family at this critical juncture,” ANI quoted the Jammu and Kashmir Police as saying.

The injured daughter is reportedly to be out of danger and she is receiving treatment at a hospital.
Elsewhere, the police along with security forces also busted a terror module of proscribed terrorist outfit JeM in Awantipora by arresting eight terrorist associates. Incriminating materials including ammunition are reported to have been recovered from their possession.
Jammu and Kashmir has been under the central government’s rule through a Lieutenant Governor since August 2019 when Article 370 was abrogated and the state was demoted to a union territory.
