It’s official! Shweta Bachchan Nanda is set to make her acting debut on TV with her megastar father Amitabh Bachchan. Yes, they’ve already shot the commercial together and photos are going viral on social media platforms.
In the viral photos from the shooting location, the father-daughter duo is seen sharing special bond. The ad film is directed by GB Vijay from Sculptors Production for Kalyan Jewellers, reported News18. Shweta had recently announced her upcoming book, Paradise Towers, which is believed to be a heart-warming slice-of-life novel set in an apartment building in Mumbai.
The father-daughter duo had first made their TV debut together in 2010 when they appeared on filmmaker Karan Johar’s popular talk show Koffee With Karan.
The news of Bachchan sharing screen space with daughter, who’s known as a designer among her friends, comes on the day the Bollywood megastar faced public ridicule for his hypocrisy on the rising prices of petrol and diesel.
Earlier, Bachchan had written how he had taken an auto-rickshaw to go to work with daughter Shweta. “I travel today for the work in the greatly in demand and preferred mode of travel, the auto, the auto rickshaw… The auto, the rick — call it what you may,” Big B wrote on his blog.
