Karanataka excise minister HY Meti on Wednesday submitted his resignation to the chief minister, Siddaramaiah after his name surfaced in alleged sex cd tape, reported ANI.

The alleged CD, according to reports, believed to contain the video clip of Meti in a compromising position with a woman, who reportedly approached him seeking a favour.
The CD was brought to light an RTI activist Rajashekar, who has now sought police protection fearing threat to his life.
On Tuesday, according to New Indian Express, a Bagalkot-based woman had confirmed that the lady present in the video was her.
She had told reporters, “I had to do what Subash and a group of 4-5 people forced me to…My life is in danger. I need some more time to reveal their names.”
