Centre’s ruling Bhartiya Janata Party and its ideological mentor Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh will hold crucial meeting in New Delhi from 2 to 4 September.
Billed as a coordination meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi too is expected to attend it.
Confirming the news, the Sangh leader Manmohan Vaidya told reporters on Monday that the meeting would be attended by close to 100 members of the RSS and the BJP, including all ministers in Modi government.
RSS, which is believed to be really concerned by the developments in Gujarat is very keen to discuss this issue. Among other issue, the One Rank One Pension too will feature prominently in the discussion.
Both the Patel agitation in Gujarat followed by the state police’s reported brutalities against ordinary citizens and OROP have caused huge embarrassment for the ruling BJP party.
The Sangh is concerned that these two developments are likely to have huge repercussions on the party’s electoral fortunes in the crucial Bihar elections.
