Pakistani forces once again violated ceasefire along four sectors of the LoC on Sunday night, army sources said. However, no casualty has been reported so far in the affected areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

Firing in Kishan Ghati and Mandi in Poonch district and in Balakot, and Palanwala sectors in Rajouri and Jammu respectively began at around 9:30 pm along the LoC. Indian army retaliated with heavy firing with the tussle between the two forces still on.

According to sources, the Pakistani forces are using small arms and automatic weapons.

On Saturday night too, Pakistani forces had opened fire and resorted to shelling along the international border in Jammu’s Akhnoor sector.

Pakistan also violated the ceasefire along the LoC four times on July 29 and July 30.

Just four days ago, an army jawan was killed in fresh ceasefire violation in the Poonch sector as Pakistani troops targeted forward posts in a sniper attack.
