A new unedited video has exposed the claims made by Union Minister Ajay Mishra and his son on the massacre of farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri. In the new video, slightly longer in duration, the minister’s SUV can be seen ramming into farmers with incredible speed, leaving at least four of them dead and many injured.

Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday visited the area and met the family members of those killed. While the Uttar Pradesh Police had detained Priyanka Gandhi for more than two days, the Yogi Adityanath government had deployed huge forces in Lucknow to stop Rahul Gandhi from visiting Lakhimpur Kheri.
Rahul Gandhi had also met the family members of journalist Raman Kashyap, who too was killed in the violence. Gandhi shared photos of himself with Kashyap’s family members as he wrote in Hindi, “Expressed my condolences after meeting the family members of the martyred journalist, Raman Kashyap. What does this family want after losing their loved one to inhuman cruelty? Justice, which included immediate arrests of those guilty and removal of the minister from his post. Now, we must do the justice.”
