Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by four runs in an IPL match at the Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad made 141-7 in their quota of 20 overs with Jason Roy once again shining with the bat. Roy played a knock of 44 runs by facing 38 balls. Kane Williamson contributed with 31 runs.

Virat Kohli’s side fell short of four runs as they could only make 137-6 in 20 overs. Devdutt Padikkal made 41, while Glenn Maxwell chipped in with 40.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have qualified to the playoffs stage of the IPL along with Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings. But today’s defeat may not augur well for their morale in facing their rivals in the next stage of the competition.
