LIVE UPDATES: Tejashwi Yadav calls Nitish Kumar ‘mentally tired’ man as Bihar goes to crucial assembly polls

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has sharpened his attack against JDU’s Nitish Kumar, who’s seeing another term as Bihar’s chief minister in this year’s assembly polls. Reacting to Nitish Kumar’s recent attack in an election rally, Tejashwi said that the incumbent chief minister was a ‘mentally tired man.’

“Whatever disparaging terms that honourable Nitish ji has used against me, they are like blessings for me. Nitish ji is mentally tired now. Therefore, whatever he wishes to utter against me, I am taking them as blessings. Bihar has decided that elections will be held on the issues of bread, employment and development,” Tejashwi wrote on Twitter.

This was after Nitish Kumar took a potshot at Lalu Yadav’s nine children (seven daughters and two sons) and indirectly accused him of having no faith in his daughters’ ability.

Addressing an election rally in Bihar’s Begusarai district recently, Nitish Kumar had said, “What did they do when they got an opportunity (to govern)? Did they build a single school? If you want to study, then ask your father, ask your mother if there was any school. Was any school being built anywhere? Had they built a college anywhere? At least ask. When they got the opportunity to govern, they began to serve their own interests.”

Many had felt that Kumar losing cool to resort to a personal attack against his rival showed that he was in trouble.
