PM Narendra Modi invokes Ram Navami, Ramadan to urge people to show resilience against COVID-19 pandemic

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed the nation LIVE on the COVID-19 situation, which has wreaked havoc across the country. He invoked Ram Navami and the Holy month of Ramadan to urge people to show resilience against the coronavirus pandemic.

Modi said that he was aware of the people’s suffering and India needed to fight this pandemic together. He thanked medical staff for their work even by risking their lives  during the second wave of the pandemic.



Modi said that there was no question of imposing lockdown in India as he urged people to adhere to strict COVID-19 protocol. He urged state governments to avoid lockdown and use it as the last resort.
